Global Youth is the largest independent youth organisation in the City of York. Every week we work with over 1000 young people, helping to improve and enhance the quality of their lives. Being part of Global Youth provides an adventure for young people and leaders alike, packed with energy, excitement, fun and challenging opportunities. We provide young people with great wisdom to enable them to navigate their way through this exciting but challenging phase of life. Global Youth runs weekly mentoring programmes, detached street work, dance groups, and extensive schools' work, with lunchtime and after school activities, work placements and much more. Fridays host Global's huge and successful youth event, providing young people with a great safe environment and a great atmosphere to meet their friends and enjoy a variety of activities.

Quick Facts

Made up of a team of over 30 volunteers
Running each week:
- 5 school lunch clubs
- 2 after school clubs
- 3 detached youth street teams
- A dance academy
- A music academy
In addition to:
- Working in 5 Secondary Schools:
  - Burnholme Community College
  - Manor CE School
  - Tadcaster Grammar School
  - York High School
  - Millthorpe School
- Mentoring over 50 young people
- Running large City centre events in conjunction with the local council, including National Play Day activities and 'Residents 1st' weekend

Parent & Toddlers - 9:30 - 11:00am - Every Monday & Friday

A great session for parents & toddlers, with soft play area, crafts, singing & much more, there's something for everyone! Cafe open until 12:00pm with lunch available to order.
